All Things Photography

Whether you’re into photography more as a hobby than a profession or only starting to learn the ropes of photography, you will find this website a good source of information for all things photography. This site is owned and managed by retired professional photographer Keith W. Springer. He wishes to share everything he has learned about photography from his years as a professional photographer to everyone looking at getting into photography in hopes of further encouraging them to take up photography and follow their passion.

This site will also showcase some of Keith’s works to provide readers with samples of photography techniques (as shown in his output samples), or simply for the viewing pleasure of those interested in photography.

For aspiring professional photographers, Keith has this to say; don’t be too hard on yourself. Not all good pictures are taken in one shot. Learn as much as you can about photography, develop your skills, learn how to work with unexpected changes especially for outdoor shoots, have patience, and most of all, have fun with what you’re doing! If photography is not fun for you, why are you doing it in the first place?

There’s a saying that goes, if you love what you’re doing, you’ll never have to work a day in your life? Whoever said it was right. That’s exactly how it should be with photography. Regardless of the subject, weather, situation or what-have-you, never fail to have fun with every shoot. When you’re having fun, you’re encouraging your subject/s to have fun too (in the case of human subjects at least), and it’s actually a good way to come up with excellent outputs!

Whatever camera you have at the moment, take the time to use it! Go out and take photos of everything you see—everything that you find intriguing and interesting, and even challenge yourself to take photos of a dull scene and make it come alive. Sure, the type of camera that you have may give you better-quality pictures but the camera is only one part of the equation. It’s your creativity that matters most. Remember that photography is an art and it needs as much creativity and attention as any other form of art.
